For patient continuity we aim to keep the same doctors at the same surgery.

Knebworth Surgery

Dr C Keen - Monday and Tuesday
Dr S Dawes - Monday and Thursday
Dr R Shah - Two days a week
Dr J Kuruvatti - Two days a week
Dr E Loeffeir - Two days a week

Marymead

Dr K McManus - Monday and Tuesday
Dr R Shah - Two days a week
Dr E Loeffier - Two days a week
Dr J Kuruvatti - Two days a week

Drs Shah, Kuruvatti and Loeffler work two days a week at each surgery, dependent on the cover required for holidays etc. The reception team will advise you when booking where they are.

The surgery employs two other doctors; one works from Knebworth.

OUT-OF-HOURS COVER

When the surgery is closed, URGENT medical problems will be dealt with by our local out-of-hours co-operative, Hertdoc. If you have a medical problem when the surgery is closed, please telephone (01438) 812494 as usual. A recorded message will inform you which telephone number to contact. If you require health advice or information, NHS Direct, a 24 hour nurse-led advice line, is available on 0845 4647.

PLEASE HAVE PAPER AND A PEN READY IN CASE YOU ARE GIVEN A SECONDARY TELEPHONE NUMBER TO RING.

DISABLED ACCESS

The Knebworth Surgery has only a small car park and at the moment cannot reserve access for disabled car parking. We have two floors at the Knebworth Surgery and can cater for disabled patients' appointments on the ground floor. If this applies to you, please let us know when you book your appointment.

At our Marymead Surgery, we do have a large car park. The building is a bungalow so can cater well for the disabled.

FREEDOM OF INFORMATION PUBLICATION SCHEME

The Freedom of Information Act 2000 obliges the practice to produce a Publication Scheme. A Publication Scheme is a guide to the ‘classes’ of information the practice intends to routinely make available. This scheme is available from reception.

ZERO TOLERANCE

We strongly support the NHS policy on zero tolerance. Anyone attending the surgery who abuses the GPs, staff or other patients be it verbally, physically or in any threatening manner whatsoever, will risk removal from the practice list. In extreme cases we may summon the police to remove offenders from the practice premises.
