Non-urgent advice: Total Triage

In response to the evolving needs of our community and the modern-day pressures faced by the NHS, our GP Practice has now completely transitioned to a total triage model. This approach has enabled us to handle an unprecedented increase in patient enquiries, managing 250% more each day. By streamlining the triage process, we’ve significantly reduced hold times on our phone lines, offering a smoother, more efficient experience for our patients. While this system has markedly improved access, the sheer volume of over 100 enquiries within the first 30 minutes of opening means we occasionally need to pause our triage service to manage demand effectively. Rest assured, we always aim to reactivate the service later in the same day.

Understanding the urgency of healthcare needs, this model may mean waiting longer to see your preferred doctor or choosing to see another qualified practitioner for quicker access to care. We are committed to adapting and enhancing our services to meet this demand and sincerely appreciate your patience and support as we navigate these challenges. Our team is dedicated to providing the best possible care and continually working to improve our service to support the health and well-being of our communit

Non-urgent advice: Carers

A carer is someone who spends a significant proportion of their life providing unpaid support to family or potentially friends. This could be caring for a relative, partner or friend who is ill, frail, disabled or has a mental health or substance misuse problem.

We offer annual health checks to all our carers.

We also hold monthly Carers Cafes, across both sites which we fondly invite all carers to attend if they wish too. This is a chance to meet other carers for an informal chat, over a coffee and a slice of cake.

If you would like to register as a carer please complete this form

Once you are registered as a carer, and we have your consent to send SMS, we can update you on regular events, like our Carers Cafe’s.
