In response to the evolving needs of our community and the modern-day pressures faced by the NHS, our GP Practice has now completely transitioned to a total triage model. This approach has enabled us to handle an unprecedented increase in patient enquiries, managing 250% more each day. By streamlining the triage process, we’ve significantly reduced hold times on our phone lines, offering a smoother, more efficient experience for our patients. While this system has markedly improved access, the sheer volume of over 100 enquiries within the first 30 minutes of opening means we occasionally need to pause our triage service to manage demand effectively. Rest assured, we always aim to reactivate the service later in the same day.

Understanding the urgency of healthcare needs, this model may mean waiting longer to see your preferred doctor or choosing to see another qualified practitioner for quicker access to care.
