Non-urgent advice: 4th March 2024

The latest Access data is in the news section.

We have seen a marked increase in the use of triage. 4,283 triages were submitted, reviewed, and responded to in February. We also received 6,366 phones calls, and delivered 3,885 appointments, the majority face to face. DNA have fallen to 251 across the month.

We remain a busy practice. Please help us help you by following the clear instructions regarding triage and only calling the practice or walking in if unable to access another way.

We are holding an open evening on Tuesday 12th February, at Knebworth, 7-8pm, where the team will meet and discuss all items related to triage with you.

See below a simple “how to use” Total Triage video.

We are currently OPEN

Welcome to Knebworth & Marymead Medical Practice

Our Practice serves Knebworth, surrounding villages, Broadwater, and parts of South Stevenage.

We work on two sites, you may see clinical staff on either site. Our team includes GPs, Nurses, Advanced Clinical Practitioners, Health Care Assistants, Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians, Physiotherapists, Mental Health Practitioners, Care Co-Ordinators, Social Prescribers, as well as other clinical and administration staff.

We will always aim to treat all our patients promptly, courteously and clinically appropriately.

We ask you to treat us with respect.

Non-urgent advice: Carers

A carer is someone who spends a significant proportion of their life providing unpaid support to family or potentially friends. This could be caring for a relative, partner or friend who is ill, frail, disabled or has a mental health or substance misuse problem.

We offer annual health checks to all our carers.

We also hold monthly Carers Cafes, across both sites which we fondly invite all carers to attend if they wish too. This is a chance to meet other carers for an informal chat, over a coffee and a slice of cake.

If you would like to register as a carer please complete this form

Once you are registered as a carer, and we have your consent to send SMS, we can update you on regular events, like our Carers Cafe’s.

Non-urgent advice: Out of Hours and Emergencies

111 is the NHS non-emergency number. It’s fast, easy and free. Call 111 and speak to a highly trained adviser, supported by healthcare professionals.

They will ask you a series of questions to assess your symptoms and immediately direct you to the best medical care for you.

In case of a life-threatening emergency, please dial 999.
