Collecting your Prescription:
Please allow up-to 7 working days, from requesting, before collecting you prescription from the pharmacy.
We will send your prescription to your nominated pharmacy electronically.
This is called the EPS(Electronic prescription service) and the prescription is sent via the NHS Spine.

It is important that all patients have a nominated pharmacy.
You can nominate any pharmacy via the NHS app or by asking at your chosen pharmacy.
All patients who take regular repeat medication will need a medication reviews with our Pharmacist or GP.
Medication Reviews will require a up to date blood test, blood pressure check and an appointment.
The appointments are normally over the phone but can also be face 2 face.
Reviews are normally every 6 or 12 months, depending on the medication you take.
Some medication may require more regular check ups or blood tests before they can be prescribed.
Patients will made aware of this when the medication is first issued.
If you have questions about your medication, your local pharmacy will be able to answer these. They can also answer questions about what medication you can buy without a prescription.
The below NHS website has information about how, when and possible side effects of your medication.
You can also contact our medicines management team on 01438 812494 option 2.
At Knebworth & Marymead Medical Practice, we will not prescribe Diazepam for patients who wish to use this for a fear of flying. For further information on the reasons behind our decision please click here.
If you have medication that is out of date or no longer required, your pharmacy can dispose of this for you. Patients must not dispose of medication in their general waste.
Unfortunately we are currently unable to dispose of your medication. Please do not bring it to the surgery.
